Luke T. West (Master G)
Head Trainer, Head Nutritionist

Luke’s Story

Luke T. West grew up in Los Angeles, CA playing baseball, basketball, and soccer until he found his passion as a wrestler. Wrestling fueled his desire to be the absolute best and being on the wrestling team taught him how to diet and eat properly to maintain his competition weight.

In 1998, he became a United States Marine, where he served on active duty for 16 years. Due to a demanding operation tempo, he turned to weightlifting to supplement his need for competition. It wasn’t long after he started weightlifting that a fire was lit to become a bodybuilder. After 5 years of competing in Armed Forces Competitions around the world he decided to take his passion to the next level by enrolling in a basic personal trainer course.

When he completed of his first course in 2010, he decided to enroll in a three-year study program to become a Master Trainer. He graduated in December of 2013, and shortly after had his first client sign up in April 2014. After continued prayers he decided to withdraw from the Marines in March 2015 and become a full time personal trainer. At the same time, he enrolled at American Public University Systems to become an Exercise Physiologist.

After working as a trainer and fitness director for Anytime Fitness (Metairie, LA) and Chronos Body, Health, and Wellness Center (Metairie, LA), he decided, in 2017, it was time to open his own gym. Today he is the Owner/Operator/Head Trainer/Head Nutritionist for G-Fit NOLA. His passion to continue helping as many people as possible reach their health and fitness goals through the most up-to-date training and nutrition techniques. His long-term goal is to help develop techniques and models to facilitate ending the obesity epidemic in New Orleans and the world over.
